Updating the BRHC-6316 Series Firmware
Download the updater for the BRHC-6316 series, extract the
files to your computer hard drive, and then follow the procedure below to
update the firmware.
Please Note:
EIn Windows XP, log in as a user with administrator
privileges or using the "Administrator" account.
EIf packet-writing software such as Nero InCD, CyberLink InstantBurn, CyberLink
Drag-to-Disc, Sonic DLA, or BHA B's CLiP is installed, either uninstall the
packet-writing software first or exit the software so that it is not running in
the background.

If a disc is loaded in the drive, eject
the disc. |

Exit any software applications that are
currently running.

Double-click "GGWH20N_XJ04.exe" in the
update folder.

The dialog box shown below is displayed.

A dialog box is displayed. Click [UPDATE] or [EXIT].

Clicking [UPDATE] begins the firmware
update process.

Please Note:
Do not turn off the drive or
computer power during the firmware update process. Also, do not touch the
drive, interface cable, or computer keyboard while updating. If the update
fails, the drive could become inoperable.

When the update program is completed, the
message "Updating was completed successfully" is displayed.

Click [REBOOT] to automatically reboot the
computer. To reboot later, click the [EXIT] button.
The firmware has now been updated. The MediaStation may be
used after the computer is rebooted.
